The opportunity to learn Lithuanian for FREE is open to:

  • citizens of the EU or the European Free Trade Association member state, and their family members residing in Lithuania;
  • citizens of third countries who have been granted residence permits in Lithuania for at least 1 year.

What part of the amount is financed by the Employment Service?

The training is 100% funded. The Lithuanian language courses are financed for both unemployed and already employed people. Those who are not employed while taking the course receive a grant.

How will the training take place? In person or online?

We organize the training process online via the Zoom platform.

What criteria must be met to receive the funding for the training?

The Lithuanian language training programs are organized for citizens of the EU or the European Free Trade Association member states, and their family members residing in Lithuania. Citizens of the third countries who have been granted residence permits in Lithuania for at least 1 year can also apply for it. Individuals can be employed or seeking for a job (unemployed).

Who should not receive funding?

Citizens of the third countries who have a temporary residence permit in Lithuania on the basis of employment.
